Yellowstone National Park is a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. It's also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope.
We recommend the Grand Loop Road, which will take you past most of the major sites in the park. The Grand Loop from the North Entrance takes 5-8 hours to complete depending on how many stops you make.
Vehicle reservations are sometimes required to enter the park – please double check on their website to ensure you'll have access.
